This product is not easily absorbed by oral administration and maintains a high concentration in the intestine. It can kill the cephalic and proximal segments of tapeworms. It is clinically used to drive away the beef tapeworms, pork tapeworms and short hymenococcus tapeworms, and its efficacy is more significant than that of betel nut and pumpkin seeds.  This product is harmless to warm-blooded animals and plants, but is toxic to fish. This product can also be made into a coating for the skin before water to prevent acute schistosomiasis infection and rice field dermatitis.
