1. Complex partial seizures, generalized tetano-paroxysmal seizures, combination of the above two kinds of seizures or other partial or generalized seizures; It does not respond to typical or atypical absence attacks, myoarray twinings, or absence tension attacks.

2. The onset of trigeminal neuralgia and glossopharyngeal neuralgia, also used as long-term preventive medication after relief of trigeminal neuralgia. It can also be used in tuberculosis and multiple sclerosis, diabetic peripheral neuralgia, limb pain and post-traumatic neuralgia, and postherpetic neuralgia.

5. Carbamazepine for some mental diseases including schizophrenia temperament disorders, intractable schizophrenia and loss of control syndrome related to limbic system dysfunction.

6. Restless legs syndrome, lateral facial spasm.

7. Alcohol addiction withdrawal syndrome.
