Characteristics and uses of polyethylene glycol

Polyethylene glycol is a non-ionic water-soluble polymer. It can be compatible with many highly polar substances and is stable to heat, acid and alkali. It does not work with many chemicals. It has good water solubility, lubricity, dispersibility, moisture retention, thermal stability, adhesion, antistatic property, and good compatibility with many components.
Use of polyethylene glycol
It is widely used in cosmetics, chemical fiber, textile, oil extraction, rubber, plastics, paper making, ink, paint, paint, printing and dyeing, wood, leather, ceramics, electroplating, pesticide, metal processing and other industries.
01 Used as dispersant, lubricant and emulsifier in rubber, metal processing, pesticide and other industries;
02 Organic synthetic medium, humectant for daily cosmetics industry, inorganic salt solubilizer, viscosity regulator, etc;
03 Used as flocculant, fluid antifriction agent, textile sizing agent, retention and drainage aid, adhesive, thickener and denture fixing agent;
04 Used as casting agent, lubricant for metal wire drawing, stamping and forming, lubricant for paper industry, cutting fluid, abrasive cooling lubricant, polishing agent, etc;
05 Used as PVC lubricant, color masterbatch additive, textile softener, pigment dispersant, etc;

As a papermaking additive, 06 can improve the retention of fillers and fine fibers. When the relative molecular weight is more than 3 million, it has good dispersion, certain wettability, drag reduction and pyrolysis. It is an effective antiflocculating agent. Adding it into the pulping can improve the viscosity of the slurry, prevent the fiber from adhering to each other, improve the paper evenness, reduce the power consumption of pulping, and improve the physical strength.
